The Bennett Wins at Adelphi’s Quill Awards
Senior journalism students accepted the awards on behalf of The Bennett.
On Wednesday, March 22, 2017, Frank Sinatra School of the Arts’ student newspaper, The Bennett received three awards in three different categories at the annual Quill Awards hosted at Adelphi University.
The Bennett received a first place award for best photography for a newspaper image taken by senior instrumentalist Inaki Herrera for the story “Backstage with Stagecraft.” The Bennett received a second place award for best online newspaper and lastly, senior instrumental major Giselle Flores received second place for best news story for her article “Responding to the Inauguration through Post-Its” .
